In 1981, when he was
twenty-three years old, Pastor Grizzle began a new work in Gate City, VA. The
Gate City Church of Jesus Christ was the first Apostolic church in the town of
Gate City.
In 1984, Pastor Grizzle saw
the need for a Christian school, and he started the Gate City Christian School.
Sister Vicki Grizzle teaches and supervises the school.
By the mid-nineties, the
congregation had outgrown the original church building. They purchased a piece
of adjoining property and built a much larger facility. Three years after the
church building was completed, they built a large family center with a gym and
Christian School facilities.
The Lord has continually
blessed the labors of Pastor Grizzle and the church at Gate City.
